The Beausejour Comets delivered a dominant performance on Friday night, skating to a 5–1 victory over the North Winnipeg Satellites in front of a packed and electric crowd at the Beausejour Sportsplex.
It was a night of milestones and momentum. Nik Bear found the back of the net in his 100th CRJHL game, Clint Thomas notched his first two goals of the season, and Tyler Nault recorded his first goal as a Comet, helping Beausejour take control early and never look back.
The win capped off a strong showing on home ice, and now the series shifts to the big city as the Comets head to Winnipeg on Tuesday for Game 2 of the home-and-home against the Satellites. Expect the same intensity as the boys look to ignite the ice on the road.
